A long time operation with low voltage (48V) power on board

The Slopehelper is a fully electrical, low-voltage (48V) agro-system, equipped with a power drive train that provides extremely high torque with zero RPM, based on 48UGV patented technology.

When activating the vehicle, we can obtain similar torque with 48 volts as other vehicles with 450 volts and higher

Rechargeable with ordinary electric socket (220V) or optional fast charger on (380V):

  • Basic batteries set is 480 Ah x 48V, which means for fully charged batteries will consume about 24 kWh. With this power the vehicle has the ability to operate at full load (40° inclinations and constant tractive force 2t with load), for about 6 hours.
  • Full batteries set is 720 Ah x 48V, which means for fully charged batteries will consume about 36 kWh. With this power the vehicle has the ability to operate at full load (40° inclinations and constant tractive force 2t with load), about 8 hours. Normal operation, with one connected hinge equipment element exceeding more than 14 hours.

The 48V technology provides possibilities for precise control of both torque and position of each caterpillar and even undo maximum load, because of using Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor and IntEn controller with special algorithms. Before the EV48 was presented the market never had any caterpillar transporter with separate control of caterpillars. Our company has designed the innovative bridge control with System-On-Chip based and we realized absolutely different PMSM control for low RPMs, which provides a possibility to get extremely high torque of PMSM/BLDC engine with ZERO RPM.

Additional skills and training are required to enable people to work safely with E&HVs and the operation of high voltage electrical systems. For example, awareness of additional risks is likely to be all that is needed for people who produce or sell vehicles but the same and for the costumers. However, people involved in vehicle repair and maintenance are likely to need a much higher level of competence to be able to work safely on these types of vehicles, specific training, and qualifications.

When it comes to the safety of the whole power supply, in our case it becomes a low voltage electrical system. But low voltage is also 72V which in contact with moist conditions can be extremely unsafe and fatal on contact. According to the German Institute for Electrical Vehicle Safety Inspection that the upper limit of safety is 56V, all of which is dangerous for users.

Our powerful 48V technology, is characterized by high power and safety level. In general, the entire electrical installation is a closed system and through the deck the tree deployed in the body of the Slopehelper vehicle, but even if it came in contact with the operator or the FAE in the installation, it would in no way be life-threatening. This whole process has been approved and certified by relevant institutes and product safety inspections.
